Overview
Founded in 1996 during the Japanese Society of Pediatric Dentistry (JSPD) meeting by Profs. Shizuo Sobue, Mitsutaka Kimura, and Shouhachi Shimooka, along with other pediatric dentists in Asia.
Founding member societies: Chinese Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Hong Kong Society of Paediatric Dentistry, Indonesian Pediatric Dentistry Association, Japanese Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Korean Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Malaysian Association of Paediatric Dentistry, Philippine Pediatric Dental Society, Society for Paediatric Dentistry Singapore, Taiwan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and Thailand Association of Pediatric Dentistry.
Mission

Objectives:
- Promote the spirit of fellowship, goodwill and cooperation among those providing oral health care for children.
- Promote inter-society/association collaboration and strengthen oral health care programs in the region.
- Promote and strengthen the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry with the relevant societies/associations in Asia.
- Encourage, assist, and enhance the training, expertise, and research opportunities pertaining to Pediatric Dentistry.
- Encourage and enhance continuing educational programs and to disseminate scientific information pertaining to children's oral health.
- Affiliate with organizations deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors to enhance the mission and objectives of the PDAA.

Key Activities:
- The first congress was held in 1997 in Chiba, Japan, hosted by JSPD.
- Since then, the congress has been held every two years, contributing to the development of pediatric dentistry in Asia.
Vision
Continuously evolving to meet the needs of its members and improve children's oral health across Asia.
